At A Friend In Need Home Care, we hold our clients in high esteem and take immense pride in our commitment to assisting the senior community in maintaining their independence and safety at home. Our dedicated personal care aides are here to support you with various daily activities crucial to your overall well-being. These activities include shower assistance, grooming, dressing, medication support, feeding, meal preparation, shopping, and light housekeeping.
Regarding light housekeeping, your designated personal care aide is trained to prioritize the cleanliness and safety of your living environment. This involves tidying areas regularly used by you, with a specific focus on the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and other spaces where you spend the majority of your time. Tasks encompass wiping down kitchen counters, cleaning up spills, mopping floors, sweeping, vacuuming, doing laundry, making beds, and changing bed linens.
It is imperative to adhere to the established guidelines. I want to emphasize that tasks such as scrubbing, cleaning behind and under furniture and appliances, tending to rooms not regularly in use, organizing, packing, and other activities typically performed by a handyman or professional house cleaning company fall outside the scope of the provided services.
Should you require assistance beyond the outlined guidelines, we encourage you to either have your home care aide assist in contacting external services or reach out to your case manager at the Johnson County Aging Agency to request “Chore” services in addition to the Homemaker services we provide. We are dedicated to collaborating with you to identify suitable services that align with your specific needs.
Please note that our services come with a minimum three-hour duration, covering a range of homemaker services that extend beyond light housekeeping. While we understand that completing routine household tasks may not take the entire three hours, if your sole need is for light housekeeping, please anticipate some downtime as your caregiver efficiently allocates tasks within this timeframe.
It’s important to note that our billing structure reflects a minimum three-hour visit. If you prefer your caregiver to complete routine tasks and leave before three hours, please understand that our billing remains based on the minimum duration.
Additionally, it is important to emphasize that creating additional projects that exceed homemaker parameters due to the three-hour visit is not permissible.
